Grief Summit RVA 2016

Please join us for a full-day conference exploring the topic of grief and its effects on our lives.
The Grief Summit RVA brings together professionals in the mental health, counseling,
bereavement, and medical fields from across Central Virginia.
Exceptional speakers representing diverse areas of expertise and interests will address compelling topics, including Young Adult Grief, Trauma, Resilience and Grief, Suicide Assessing and Intervening, Grief and Rituals, Perinatal Loss, Using Creativity to Heal from Loss, and Supporting Families at the End of Life.
Keynote speaker Michelle Post, MA, LMFT, CTBS will address the topic
“What Have You Done for YOU Lately? Secondary Traumatic Stress and Burnout Prevention for Caregivers.”
Continuing Education Units (CEUs) will be offered for LPCs, MSWs/LCSWs, and RNs/LPNs pending association approval.
The conference will be followed by a Community Forum at 6:00pm.
These events will be open to the general public and will provide a safe place to learn and discuss grief and loss.
