Britt has a Bachelor of Arts degree from James Madison University and a Master of Social Work degree from Virginia Commonwealth University. She has been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) since 2000.

Britt has over 18 years of experience providing counseling and case management services to children, adults, and families in school settings as a school social worker, in the home, and in agency settings.She has also acted as Clinical Director for an In-home Services Program as well as developed new programs, collaborated and served on multiple interdisciplinary teams, and supervised other counselors in the mental health field.Britt has facilitated children and adult groups for over 20 years in various settings to include schools, courts, and agencies on a variety of  issues to include parenting, communication and values, grief and loss, siblings with disabilities, and other psychosocial topics and education.

Britt began facilitating groups for Full Circle in 2009 and joined the staff in 2012 as the Clinical Case Manager. Britt receives every family’s initial call to Full Circle and provides support and guidance. She also conducts interviews with adults and families enrolled in our groups and is a part of the long-term case management team that provides follow-up and support to all Full Circle families.

In addition to her work at Full Circle, Britt enjoys outdoor activities, running, yoga, reading, traveling, and spending time with her husband and three children.

Allyson has a Bachelor of Arts degree from University of Virginia, Master of Counselor Education degree from Virginia Commonwealth University, and completed post-graduate work in counseling psychology and bereavement.

Allyson is a Licensed School Counselor (preK-12) and she worked as an elementary school counselor for three years. She has worked with grieving children and families for 15 years, has facilitated numerous counseling groups for children who were dealing with the death of a loved one, and has developed curriculum for bereavement counseling groups and remembrance programs. Her passion revolves around community bereavement education and she has presented on grief and loss at numerous professional conferences and educational trainings. Allyson founded Full Circle Grief Center in 2008 and she serves as the President and Executive Director of the organization.

Allyson was named to the 2012 class of “Top 40 under 40″ in STYLE Weekly and was recognized with the 2014 Stettinius Award for Non-profit Leadership. She has a Certification in Thanatology (CT) through the Association for Death Education and Counseling (ADEC), is a Compassionate Bereavement Care Certified Provider, and has completed the Resolve Through Sharing Bereavement Training for Perinatal Death. She also is a trainer for the Trauma and Resilience Basics Training, an educational program designed to help build trauma informed communities.

Personally, Allyson enjoys spending time with her two children, reading, volunteering at her children’s school, painting and crafting, and watching football with friends and family.

Maryse has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and French from Radford University as well as a Master of Education in School Counseling from Virginia Commonwealth University. She is a Licensed School Counselor (preK-12) and worked for Chesterfield County as a teacher and school counselor for six years.

Maryse began facilitating Hands on Healing groups for Full Circle in August of 2013 and then began working with the school groups in the fall of 2014. She joined the Full Circle staff in 2015 as the Suicide Bereavement Services Manager.

During her free time, Maryse loves spending time with her husband and three children. She also enjoys volunteering at her children’s school, traveling, reading, and attending Barre classes.

Stacia has a Bachelor of Arts degree from James Madison University and a Master of Social Work degree from University of Buffalo, the State University of New York. She has been licensed by the Academy of Certified Social Workers (ACSW) since 1997 and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) since 1998.

Stacia has 20 years of experience providing counseling services to children, adults, and families who have experienced loss, trauma, crises, or adversity. She has 14 years of experience providing clinical supervision and training to other social work and counseling professionals, and 14 years of experience in program administration including quality improvement, new program development, and collaboration with community agencies and providers. She began working at Full Circle in 2011 as a Hands on Healing group leader and became the Clinical Director in 2012. Stacia manages Full Circle’s Hands on Healing program, provides case management to families, and supervises all contract clinicians.

Stacia enjoys photography, gardening, and cheering on her favorite college sports teams.Stacia also dedicates time to raising awareness of childhood brain injuries.

Delaney has a Bachelor of Social Work degree and a Master of Social Work degree from Virginia Commonwealth University. She worked at the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation as an event planner and fundraiser for 7 years. After experiencing a loss in their family, Delaney and her daughter attended Full Circle’s Hands on Healing group.

Delaney began volunteering at Full Circle and this led to her joining the staff in 2010, working on the annual Round Up event, coordinating volunteers, and working on other special projects. Delaney currently manages Full Circle’s special events, oversees office operations, and manages Full Circle’s website and social media.

Delaney enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, volunteering at her children’s school, dancing, watching her kids’ sports games, and going on walks.

 


 

Melimelissassa New

Perinatal Bereavement Services Manager

Melissa has Bachelor of Arts degree from Washington and Lee University and a Master of Social Work degree from The Catholic University of America. She has completed post-graduate work in psychodynamic psychotherapy at the Washington School of Psychiatry.

Melissa worked for an adoption agency in Bethesda, Maryland for the past eight years, providing counseling to birth parents, new adoptive parents and adoptees. She served as a counselor for women and couples facing unplanned pregnancies and led a support group for birth parents who placed children for adoption.

Upon moving with her family to Richmond in the summer of 2014, Melissa sought opportunities to continue her work with families who have experienced loss. She found the right fit at Full Circle, joining the staff in 2015 to manage the Perinatal Bereavement Program.

In her life outside of work, Melissa tries to strike a balance between activity and rest. She enjoys a good run (especially those last few strides), cooking (and eating), the adventure of traveling someplace new, Italian Renaissance Art, Nationals baseball, and being anywhere with her husband and two children.

Melanie has a Bachelor of Science in Finance degree from the School of Business at Virginia Commonwealth University.
Melanie has worked for K Line New York, Inc. and The New Haven Register where she was an accountant and financial analyst.
In her free time, Melanie teaches Children’s Church at her church once a month & Vacation Bible School each summer. She enjoys time with family and friends, gardening, crafts and cooking.   She loves dogs – they have a loving Bichon Frise – and her son has severe food allergies and she loves coming up with new recipes that are safe for her family to eat.

Allison has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies with an emphasis in public relations and non-profit organization management from Virginia Tech. She has twelve years of experience working for the American Cancer Society in staff and leadership volunteer roles associated with special event fundraising and volunteer relationship development. She also has three years of office management experience.

She joined the Full Circle team in 2014. She currently serves as Full Circle’s Office Manager. She provides assistance to many of our office staff as well as manages aspects of office operations, our community resource library, and supply drives.

Allison enjoys traveling, swimming, baking, craft projects, and spending time with her family and friends, especially her husband and two daughters.
