Mindfulness is the basic human ability to be fully present, aware of where we are and what we’re doing, and not overly reactive or overwhelmed by what’s going on around us.

Alex Peavey recently quoted Viktor E. Frankl in his inspiration speech at our Live Your Dash luncheon as saying “Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom.”

When we’re mindful, we reduce stress, enhance performance, and gain awareness through observing our own mind and increase our attention to others’ well-being.

We integrate mindfulness into our Groups and Individual Counseling at Full Circle. By focusing one’s awareness on the present moment, while calmly acknowledging and accepting one’s feelings, thoughts, and bodily sensations, we can improve mental health, physical health, and overall well-being.
