Will you join us for the 12 Days of Giving?

We are excited to kick off our 12 Days of Giving celebration on Giving Tuesday – Tuesday, December 1. Giving Tuesday, a global generosity movement unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world, was created in 2012 to encourage people to do good. Since then, it has inspired hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.

And that’s exactly how we want to close out 2020 at Full Circle. We want to inspire others to give, collaborate with our local partners, and celebrate the generosity of you and the RVA community.

That’s where the 12 Days of Giving comes in. As we celebrate our 12th anniversary this year, we want to close out 2020 with a fun initiative that benefits Full Circle and gives us the opportunity to spread a little cheer, too.

Here’s how it will work.

Inspire others to GIVE

There are so many different ways you can support Full Circle. Every dollar and every donation matters! From December 1st through 12th, we’ve compiled 12 options for making an end-of-year gift to Full Circle — from purchasing supplies on our Amazon Wish List to sponsoring a participant in one of our groups.

And best of all, for each donation, donors will be entered to win one of our 12 prize packages – all generously donated by local businesses right here in RVA.

Collaborate with local partners

The RVA Community has embraced us and supported us this year when we needed them most. Thanks to the generosity of almost 20 local businesses, we have 12 Prize Packages on deck, one for each of the 12 days! Every day on our social media pages, you can expect to see the suggested donation for the day AND the prize package you could win if you make a gift.

We’ve got some wonderful prizes ranging from organic, locally-roasted coffee to handmade jewelry to a Wednesday night date for two, all generously donated by businesses doing their best in these uncertain times.

Celebrate your generosity

Our Full Circle staff and therapists thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support this year …but most of all, our clients and participants thank you for allowing us to continue doing this important and critical work right here in our community.

This year, we haven’t had the opportunity to be together in person, so during the 12 Days of Giving we’ll be sharing some video thank you messages as well. We miss seeing you, and we appreciate your support and faith in us more than you know!

A Year Like No Other

2020 has been challenging in many ways. Local businesses and non-profits have greatly suffered. We had to cancel all three of our in-person fundraisers this year, starting with our annual Live Your Dash Luncheon. Funds raised from these events usually bring in 15% of Full Circle’s annual revenue and support our grief groups throughout the year – Suicide Loss, Perinatal Loss, Overdose Loss, plus Hands on Healing family groups and grief workshops offered to those grieving and healing in our community.

BUT …with your help, we have worked diligently and creatively to come up with ways to bridge that gap and adapt to the ever-changing environment. Most importantly, we continued to serve grieving families and individuals all year, with no break in service. We moved our groups, Individual Counseling practice, and educational programs to virtual formats, and we created a wide variety of virtual resources that can be accessed via our website.

In September we celebrated our 12th anniversary and rounded out the celebration with our Miles in Memory virtual remembrance walk. We had nearly 350 participants and 28 teams that walked, ran, swam, and even skateboarded over 1500 miles! We raised over $17,000 and were able to use that money to fund our ongoing grief support groups.

We have also been amazed by the support of funding partners and individual donors. Local foundations and family funds have stepped up to support the important work we do, and our generous donors have continued to bolster our programming with thoughtful and intentional support.

We know there is still much uncertainty as we look to 2021, but we are confident that we will continue to adapt and grow in order to provide the grief support our community needs. Will you join us for the 12 Days of Giving to help set us up for success next year?

Join us – Tuesday, December 1st as we kick off our 12 Days of Giving with 12 ways you can give and 12 prizes you could win!
