Brian Mills

Brian is an Associate General Counsel in Capital One’s Legal Department. He joined the company in February 2013, where he served as one its first lawyers supporting the then-nascent Technology organization. In this role, he was instrumental in providing legal counsel for Capital One’s most strategic technological imperatives, including its pioneering migration to the public cloud, comprehensive data transformation efforts, and the establishment of its enterprise machine learning organization. Brian currently leads the legal teams dedicated to supporting the company’s commercial software and business credit card divisions.

Brian earned his B.A. from Virginia Tech and his J.D. from the University of Richmond School of Law. He resides in Richmond, VA, with his wife, Laura, and their two children, Storey (7) and Reade (3).
