Hands on Healing Group

Hands on Healing Family Groups are a way for loved ones to share their stories of loss, and connect with others. They explore feelings, develop healthy coping skills, and discover new ways to remember loved ones.

Full Circle provides art-based grief support services to children and families in Central Virginia who have experienced the death of someone significant to them.

Share your story of loss, explore your feelings, develop coping strategies, strengthen your communication skills, and discover new ways to remember your loved one by joining this 8-week Hands on Healing family group.

Open to children ages 3 – 17 and their adult caregivers, each session is facilitated by experienced professionals.

All grief support groups are offered free, at no cost to participants.

Organizational Update: Hands on Healing Groups

We are excited to announce that we are in the beginning stages of returning our popular Hands on Healing family groups to our core programming in 2026.

With our move to our new location on Staples Mill Road, we will have an increased number of group spaces that will allow us to accomodate large programs and gatherings like Hands on Healing in the future.

We will announce 2026 dates soon as we are excited to bring back this important program for children and families in our communities.

If you or someone you know is interested in being placed on a notification list for when more information regarding Hands on Healing is made available, please contact Laura McDonald, LCSW, Clinical Intake Manager, at laura.mcdonald@fullcirclegc.org or 804-812-2947.
