Internships

Internship Opportunities for Undergraduate and Graduate Students

Full Circle’s mission is to provide comprehensive, professional bereavement support to children, adults, families, and the community. Full Circle was founded in September 2008 as a comprehensive grief resource center in the Richmond area to help meet the needs of grieving children (ages 3-18) and their families. The Center provides grief counseling groups, consulting services, and bereavement educational programs. In Fall 2018, Full Circle added individual counseling to our menu of services.

We routinely accept applications for semester or academic year-long internships from students in the following programs:

  • Master of Social Work (MSW)
  • Master of Rehabilitation Counseling (M.Ed)
  • Master of Counselor Education (M.Ed.)
  • Master of Clinical Mental Health Counseling (M.S.)
  • other Master’s level helping professions that are counseling and human services related

We also accept applications from Brightpoint Community College students completing their Career Studies Certificate (CSC) in Bereavement and Grief Counseling.

At this time, we are only able to place one graduate-level intern and one Brightpoint Community College intern at Full Circle per semester (Spring, Fall). All internships take place in-person at our center located in Henrico, Virginia.

We are no longer accepting applications for the Spring 2027 semester for Brightpoint Community College students.

To apply, please submit your resume and cover letter detailing your experience and interest in grief and bereavement services to:
