Whitney has a BA in Rhetoric & Communication Studies from the University of Richmond and an MS in Business and Strategy from the VCU Brandcenter. She is passionate about mental health, building community and being a part of Full Circle’s mission to help people grieve in a healthy way.

Prior to working at Full Circle Grief Center, she has enjoyed serving with nonprofits like SPARC, Caritas, FeedMore and Kid Pan Alley, where she sits on the board of directors. In addition, she and her husband currently sponsor two children in developing countries through ChildFund and Compassion International.

Whitney enjoys being a part of community-wide gatherings both as an attendee and as a facilitator. Through her work in the music industry and as the founder of a boutique branding and promotions agency, The Marketing Mixtape, she has enjoyed planning events and facilitating groups; a few of the gatherings she has organized include meetups for women in music, a songwriter’s series and a hands-on community service event called Rhyme & Reason, which featured local musicians.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time outside, hiking, writing and exploring new places. She values her family and friends, her loving husband and her beloved cat, Isabelle, inherited from her late Mother. As someone who is learning how to live with grief, she finds a sense of meaning in helping others do the same.
